Problem with online play “Failed to join – other version”
Hi, Yourhorse, i saw u are wery common in C&C:KW, and it wuld be nice if u can solve my problem i posted on revora forum, but i saw You got a lot of experienc and ura was online today, 🙂
I was looking for more details or some solutions, discord / yt / git but i didnt found a solution.
Step by step:
I bought C&C + C&C:wk from kinguin to EA:App -> dowonloaded -> both run correct
Next: download : CCO_TacitusInstaller_v1.exe instal + register + login done C&C / but not on C&C:Kw = figured that C&C -> 1.09 and C&C:kw 1.02
after some klick, i can jon to lobby menu – can create game but cant join to game
(and mb there wuldnt be a problem, but my friend have C&C 1.10 and C&C:kw 1.03 )
Downloaded a loot of stuff, but nothing work, soo im asking to guid me please from begining, what shuld i download and from where / where create new folder / what to add to config.txt

Every time i try to play online -> there is “game is not youre version” and when i want to switch CTRL + T -> 1.3 i got issue:
Could not open file ‘data\static_L_mod.manifest’ because it is
corrupted or not available. Reinstall the game from the
original source.

Most players play on version 1.2 and community patch R23.
I see you installed some stuff cncnz but most of those downloads are outdated.
So do not install any unofficial 1.03 mods

Finaly i installed C&C + C&C:KW on EA:App (there is tricki, becouse to play C&C:KW u need to turn on from file luncher, not from EA:app) + R23 Legacy Map Pack [R23h] + Revora for multi
And it works, soo we will try “downgrade” my friend version, or mb reinstall his game.
