Can not connect and play
Hello, good evening. I’m having a few issues with the game. First, when I launch Kane’s Wrath normally without mods, I can’t go online. I also patched the game using Tacitus. Second, when I launch the game with mods—including the ED mod launcher—I can go online, but I can’t join any games. Third, when I go online using the mods, I can’t play with my friends either—I get errors like “different version” or connection issues. I’m at a loss; I’ve really tried everything—whether it’s Tacitus or changing the version from 1.03 to 1.02 using CTRL + T in the properties with -ui, and I’ve tried even more things.
Can someone please help me? It would mean a lot to me and my friend because we love this game.

If you install a Mod only players who have the same mod can play and join your lobby.
You are not able to play any other game.
You either have to remove the mod or disable the mod before you can play other games. -

- Are you really sure you both are on version 1.2 (CTRL+T, chronoshoft)
- Do you have the game on Steam or EA app?
- Where did you place the mod, in what folder?
- Are you able to play with your friend if you disable the mod?

I think you are mixing things.
in your last screenshot there is no Onevision mod activated.
Its not clear what you try to do, you say the lobby names are grayed out this is caused if you play on a different version or different mod.
Maybe we can meet ingame and test it together without any mods installed? -
Hi, I did it the old-fashioned way: I downloaded the mod from ModDB, put it in the “Documents” folder for Kane’s Wrath, entered the mod’s data in the “Properties” – “UI” section, and then launched the game.
Could that be the problem? Is there another way I can do it?
