Mappacks under linux
Hi everyone,
I recently put Steam on a kubuntu 25.10 machine and installed kane’s wrath. It runs without issues.
Now I would likt to install the community mappacks (like R23z 1vs1 Map Pack.exe for example) but don’t know how.
This may be a stupid question and may also have been answered before, but if so, I cannot find it. I found some articles relating to mappacks in a .zip file and where to unpack that, but nothing for the .exe downloadables.
Can anyone help?

I believe you can execute the .exe file with Protontricks
But you can also install the R23z files manually to your folder.

It worked well with Protontricks, once Google Gemini explained to me what that is, how I install it to my Kubuntu, and how to run the .exes 🙂

Is it likely to also work for the tacitus.exe ?

Hmm, it does not.
Installed tacitus via protontricks, but when launching KW (I have the steam version) I don’t see it. Also doesn’t react to CTRL+T.
Any idea what I should do?
