Seems like you do not have administrator permissions.
Because it cannot write the files to the directory.
If you run the installer do you get some kind of message User account Control like in the picture below?
Make sure if you use a antivirus it doesn’t block the installation, UAC.

Try to install the patch manually in the link below.
For the 64bit there is a 4gb patch, but since the 32bit system only support 4gb itself you can’t use the full 4 GB for the game.
Not saying it will cause any problems but it could cause crashes on certain maps and custom maps.

What version of the game do you have where did you bought it from, steam or EA app?

What error do you get when you try to install it?

32-bit OS is pretty old.

I recommend to do the installation manually instead.

You will have to download the app commandpost.

In the bottom right of the app you can register.

It’s not possible to use cgf-upload website without the app.

The installer is community based and unlike most companies they whitelist their installers.
We are a none profit community and we make everything out of love for the game.
If you do not trust it than don’t install it and do the installation manually.

There is also a tool called commandpost which is community made but that will also mark as a threat.
The reason a virus scan mark it as a virus is because the installer is creating windows registry keys and its scanning the installation directory.
